Terms of Service
Welcome to CoParent Connect. By using our website and mobile application (the "Platform"), you agree to follow and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.
1. Use of the Platform
CoParent Connect provides tools to facilitate shared parenting expense organization. You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes related to managing family expenses. You are responsible for ensuring all data you enter (including names, dates, amounts, and receipt photos) is accurate and provided in good faith.
2. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Co-Parent Invitations
Invitations to co-parents are initiated by you. By inviting a co-parent, you acknowledge that you are sharing access to specific child profiles and expense data. We are not responsible for how your invited co-parent uses the information shared through the Platform.
4. Payment Processing & Dispute Liability
Payment functionality is provided through Stripe, Inc. By using our payment features, you also agree to be bound by the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. We do not provide banking or money transmission services ourselves; we facilitate connections between users and third-party financial institutions.
Direct Charges & Chargeback Responsibility: All transactions processed through the Platform are executed as direct charges on the receiving parent's connected Stripe account. In the event of a payment dispute, bank reversal, or chargeback initiated by the paying parent, the receiving parent (the recipient of the funds) is solely and fully responsible for the disputed amount and any associated chargeback/dispute fees. Stripe will automatically recover these funds directly from the receiving parent's Stripe balance or linked external bank account. CoParent Connect LLC holds no liability for, and will not cover or reimburse, any disputed or reversed transactions.
5. Disputes
CoParent Connect is a tracking and organizational tool, not a legal arbiter. We do not resolve disputes over whether an expense is "valid" under a specific custody agreement or court order. The Platform provides neutral documentation to help you and your co-parent manage your shared responsibilities.
6. Intellectual Property
The CoParent Connect name, logo, software, and website content (excluding user-generated data) are the intellectual property of CoParent Connect LLC. All rights are reserved.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CoParent Connect LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Platform.
8. Termination and Account Suspension
We reserve the right to terminate, suspend, or disable your account and access to the Platform at any time, without prior notice, at our sole discretion, for any reason or no reason, including but not limited to conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users or us, or in the event of suspected fraudulent activity or payment disputes.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
