At CoParent Connect, we understand that you trust us with sensitive family information. This Privacy Policy explains how CoParent Connect ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and website.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account Information: Your name, email address, and authentication credentials (Google, Apple, or email/password).
• Profile Data: Names of children you add for expense tracking.
• Expense Data: Expense amounts, categories, dates, descriptions, and associated receipts or photos you upload.
• Payment Information: Bank account details, collected and held securely by Stripe. We store only Stripe-issued tokens and account identifiers.
• Device & Usage Data: Push notification tokens, device type, and app activity logs used to operate and improve the service.

2. AI-Powered Receipt Processing

When you upload a receipt photo or image, that image is transmitted to a third-party AI service to extract expense details (amount, date, merchant, category). Receipt images are processed transiently and are not permanently stored by the AI provider for training purposes beyond what is disclosed in their own privacy policies. Do not upload receipts containing sensitive personal information such as Social Security Numbers, medical details, or government ID numbers.

3. How We Use History

We use collected information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve CoParent Connect.
• Facilitate shared expense tracking and settlement payments between co-parents.
• Process transactions and send payment confirmations.
• Send push notifications about expense activity, approvals, and payment status.
• Verify your identity and prevent fraud.
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. Third-Party Services

We work with the following trusted third parties who may receive your data:

• Stripe, Inc. — Payment processing and bank account verification. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase, Inc. — Database hosting, authentication, and cloud storage. Data is stored in the United States.
• Google LLC / Apple Inc. — Sign-in authentication services when you use "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Apple."
• AI Processing Provider — Receipt image analysis. Images are sent only when you explicitly use the receipt scanning feature.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

5. Financial Data

Bank account numbers, routing numbers, and other sensitive financial credentials are never stored on our servers. All financial data is collected, encrypted, and stored by Stripe in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. We retain only Stripe-issued account IDs and onboarding status flags.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Expense records and payment history are retained for a minimum of 3 years to support co-parenting documentation needs. If you delete your account, your personal identifying information is removed from active databases within 30 days, though anonymized or aggregated data may be retained longer.

7. Children's Data

CoParent Connect is intended for use by adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The "children" data you enter (names only) refers to the children you co-parent, not users of the app. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access & Correction: Access or correct your account information through the app at any time.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data.
• Opt-Out: Opt out of push notifications via device settings.
• California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
• EU/UK Residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your data, and to object to or restrict processing.
